PROGRAMME FOR DATA COLLECTING ON FISHERIES POLICY
Grants for the improvement of management of halieutic resources by data collection in specific areas of fisheries. Funding of actions to pormote the design and implementation of international initiatives by European governmental, inter- governmental and non governmental associations aiming at the dissemination and coordination of scientific knowledge.

Council Regulation (EC) No 1543/2000 of 29 June 2000 established a Community framework for the collection and management of the data needed to conduct the common fisheries policy. The European commission cofinances pilot projects and studies to support the European Fisheries policy. Since 2007, the actions are financed by the European Fisheries fund (EFF).
